Finishing her BA in Photography, Frances Amelia has an in depth focus on the documentary genre, and studio portraiture, including the fashion genre. For her final year project, Frances Amelia created a series of work, titled Women, which focuses on the beauty ideals and standards set by the media and how this is unrealistic. Her other series include 'Coastal', a focus into the decline in Skegness' tourism and its pleasure industry, and 'Workers'. which focuses on Liam O'Dell, an university radio host and blogger.

During time away from University, Frances Amelia photography has done event, wedding and nightclub photography. However, her preferred genre is portraiture and documentary.
